​How to use it?  Where should we place it  for best results?

Ideally, keep Virokill Air Ionizer in an open area such as a table or a side table. Do not put too close to a wall or surface that will block or discharge the electrons.  In case of a commercial establishment, mount it near a door.  Virokill Air Ionizer spews electrons like a fountain, that ionize the particles in the air. By Coulombs law for electrons 'like repels like' - so negatively charged Ions will push each other away, there by quickly spreading themselves as far as possible. 

​Why Virokill is better than other Air Ionsizers?​

Most products in the market are either highly priced such that the common man can't afford it or they are of a really cheap, commercially minded make that do not live up to the claims they make. Most importantly, Corona Virus is .5 nanometers in size, which passes through most HEPA filter based products as it sieves particles only upto 50-30 nanometers.

 Is it safe for humans specifically, babies, pets and pregnant women? What about Ozone?

 Air Ionizers have studied for nearly 80 years now and no known side effects exist, except by the way of Ozone production. In fact only known side effects are positive. Virokill Air Ionizer is operating at 3-4 watts and 50 hertz. At such numbers, Ozone is barely beginning to form and is found to existing in amounts measured in parts per billion. Ozone generator devices or Ozonators typically need at least 5 Watts and 5Khz frequency and are commonly used in medical disinfections The OSHA standard for Ozone concentration within a space is 0.1 ppm. So, the ozone generation by Virokill Air Ionizers is as good as nil!

​Does it really kill or destroy the virus/bacteria/spores and other microbes? What about Corona Virus?

 Yes.! There is plenty of research to indicate that negative ions kill microbes. Regarding Virokill Air Ionizers killing Corona Virus, please see the report and satisfy your curiosity. There are two possible ways it can help us in the war against Corona Virus. First is that it may make the virus itself heavy by adding an electrons on it and settling it on the surface or the floor below. That is why, it is important to clean the floor and surfaces regularly with disinfectants. Second way, based upon your indoor/ambient air composition, is if hydroxide ions(-OH)are formed, they may directly react with lipid surface of the virus and render it harmless.

 Is it safe for handling?

 Virokill Air Ionizers, follow a strict quality protocol, are rigorously tested inhouse for any electrical faults. It is compliant with child safety, electrical safety and fire safety standards. We have recently added a cap to the design to further improve its safety.

 How is it so cheap?

 Unlike other devices in the market, Virokill Air Ionizers has been made affordable to the masses given the current situation of COVID 19 Pandemic.  How many Ions does it generate?

 As per our calculation at 3-4 watts and 50 Hertz, 250 A DC current electrical power its 10 platinum high quality needle heads should spew nearly .75 Quadrillion or .75 X 10(15) electrons per second. These electrons should quickly go to work and form at least 10 million ions per second.

 How long does it take to spread ions in a given space?

  It should charge a closed room of 100 Sq feet within 15 mins. A space of 400-500 Sq feet in 6 hour.

 ​How to test if it is working?

1.  Spray perfume near the device. In about 15 minutes your room should feel odor free.

2.  Put your ear close to the nozzle. You could hear a faint crackling sound.

​3. You should find a good amount of dust settling on the surface, if yes, then its working! Make sure to regularly wipe the surfaces with antiviral disinfectants.

​Can we keep it on day and night? Is there a recommended usage?

​Yes. You should ideally keep it on day and night. 

​Has it got heavy electrical consumption?

 Don't worry Virokill is not heavy on the electrical bill, as it is only a  3-4 watt device. Electrical cost of running this device for a day is just 1 Rupee!

 How long will it last? 

 Virokill Air Ionizers has no moving parts, nor any filters that need regular changing. So it should last for at least 3 years.

  What maintenance is necessary, how often?  

  Virokill Air Ionizer is a maintenance free device. Simply turn it on and keep it on!

  What happen if it got wet, will it work? Is it waterproof? 

  Virokill is not water proof. So ideally keep it away from water.

  Is it fragile - what if it fall​s?​

 Like all electrical appliances, if dropped with a considerable force, it will break and could be damaged. Virokill, in general, is a very rugged device.

The effects of negative air ions on various physiological functions during work in a hot environment

The results of the study demonstrated that common items of equipment such as ventilator tubes rapidly developed a large negative charge (i.e. generally >-100V) in the presence of a negative air ionizer. While most items of equipment tested behaved in a similar manner to this, one item, a box from a urological collection and monitoring system (the only item made from styrene acrylonitrile), did however develop a positive ch​arge in the presence of the ionizer.

The findings of the study suggest that the action of negative air ionizers significantly alters the electrostatic landscape of the clinical environment, and that this has the potential to cause any Acinetobacter-bearing particles in the air to be strongly repelled from some plastic surfaces and attracted to others. In so doing, this may prevent critical items of equipment from becoming contaminated with the bacterium.​

 The review of the literature seems to confirm the effects of NAIs on several brain functions. Indeed, a significant association between NAIs exposure and both well-being and high cognitive performances has been described. However, exposure to high concentrations of NAIs could be related to the improvement of depressive symptoms.

A growing evidence of data, although not yet conclusive, would suggest that NAIs might improve cognitive processes.
